04

LADY Gaga’s terrified dog walker has moved out of his home amid safety fears as the attacker and his accomplice who shot him in the chest and left him for dead remain at large, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

Ryan Fischer was ambushed and gunned down while walking the star’s three French bulldogs near his West Hollywood apartment on February 24.

He announced he was being released from the hospital on March 29, more than a month after the shooting, but an insider told The Sun the animal lover has not returned to his apartment, and has no plans to live there ever again.

They said: “He hasn’t been living at his home since leaving the hospital, he has been with family who are helping to look after him during his recovery.

“Everyone in the community was shook by what happened and we’ve been told he has no intention of returning.

“He wants to be somewhere safe and secure, especially when the shooter is still at large and police are investigating.

“Everyone just hopes he can move on from this and be able to do his job and live his life as normal as possible.”

The source added that owners of the West Hollywood apartment block had already had to invest in frosted glass as a security measure.

Ryan was shot while walking Koji, Miss Asia and Gustavo at 9.40pm on February 24.

The two men made off with Koji and Gustavo, while Miss Asia managed to escape. The dogs were later returned by an unidentified woman.

LAPD continues to investigate the case and told The Sun there are “no current updates” on arrests or whether the $500,000 reward money offered by Gaga has been handed over.

Ryan, who posted photographs of himself in his hospital bed, revealed his stay was extended because one of his lungs kept collapsing, and he eventually had to have a part of it removed.

Friends described Ryan as being extremely dedicated and said he loves the animals he cares for like family[/caption]

He broke his silence on the shooting to tell followers in an emotional post: “Recovery isn’t a straight line.

“It became quite clear that my lung was not healing, and the bullet wound had scarred my tissue like a burn.

“It could take months, if ever, for the hole to seal. So the decision was made to remove portions of my lung.

“As I was being wheeled into surgery, I finally accepted my recovery had become anything but a straight line.

“I look back at my exit from the hospital and smile that I continue to approach each day the same way.

Injecting humor into his post, he added: “The journey is hard, it’s assuredly painful, and questionable choices that no longer serve me like wearing skinny jeans are made. But I try.

“And somewhere within that I find the absurdity and wonder and beauty this life offers us all.”

There have been a number of theories surrounding the attack, with the motive still unclear.

It has been reported the dogs may have been stolen for ransom – after Lady Gaga offered the massive reward for the return of her pets.

French bulldogs can also be sold for over $2,000 and some breeds can even go up to $10,000.

Shocking footage showed the moment Ryan screamed for help as two men dived out of a white sedan and attacked him as they desperately tried to bundle the dogs into the vehicle.

A gunshot was heard, and moments later the dog walker can be heard screaming as he begs for help: “I’ve been shot, I’m bleeding out of my heart, of my lung, I’m bleeding out of my chest.”

Terrified, he added: “They stole the dogs.”

Police officers who arrived at the scene found him conscious, but barely breathing, and he was transported to hospital.

On February 26, Los Angeles Police announced a woman brought the two dogs to the Olympic Community Police Station.

The singer’s representatives and detectives confirmed the dogs were indeed Gaga’s.

According to TMZ, they were allegedly found “tied to a pole in an alley” miles from where the robbery was carried out.

Reports said the woman who found the dogs was a good Samaritan who happened upon the pups and recognized them due to the media attention.
