[Men's Golf] Pretorius Earns 1st Place Outright and Leads Skyhawks to 3rd Straight Tournament Win

Pine Mountain, Ga. -- Point earned their 3rd straight tournament win Tuesday on their home course. The Skyhawks hosted the Point University Skyhawk Spring Invitational on March 9th- 10th including 6 top 25 teams in the field. Point would hold on to the lead in all three rounds shooting team scores of 296, 296, and 282 finishing the 2 day event at +10 as a team and earning the victory over a field of 17 teams. Individually the Skyhawks were led by Ruan Pretorius (JR/Bloemfontein, South Africa) shooting -5 (67) in round 1 of the tournament, +2 (74) in round 2, and would lead the Skyhawks once again in round 3 with a -4 (68). Pretorius would end the event with a 10 stroke lead and win the tournament out right. Point would have 2 other finishers in the top 10 and have 6 in the top 20 for the event.
