[Women's Basketball] Second quarter hurts Tigers against No. 12 Blue Raiders

Georgetown College women's basketball hosted No. 12 Lindsey Wilson College Saturday. Minus a rough second quarter, the Tigers (12-9, 3-5) put up a strong fight against the Blue Raiders (17-4, 6-2). LWC used the final 10 minutes of the first half to accelerate in a 100-63 win.

Turnovers, cold shooting and offensive rebounds were daggers early to the Tigers rhythm. They threw it away seven times, shot just 23 percent and allowed LWC eight offensive rebounds to keep possessions alive. The visitors' shots 47 percent in the first half and finished at 57 percent.

Kennedy Flynn came to life in the second half, sparking the home team with 11. Maddie Burcham found a rhythm early and finished as leading scorer with 12.
