Warriors’ Klay Thompson questionable for Lakers game

Warriors guard Klay Thompson is questionable for Saturday evening’s game against the Lakers.

“Klay was not here today,” Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said after practice Friday. “He’s still sick, but we’ll see how he’s doing tomorrow.”

Thompson — fresh off his fifth All-Star selection — missed Thursday night’s loss to Philadelphia with a headache, marking his first absence of the season. In 50 games, he is averaging 21.7 points on 46.2 percent shooting, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals.

If Thompson isn’t available Saturday, Alfonzo McKinnie will likely start in his place again. In his first career start Thursday, McKinnie posted 11 points, on 5-of-5 shooting, and four rebounds in 17 minutes.
