[Shooting] RedHawks Take SCTP Title for Third Straight Year
PULASKI, Tenn. – Back-to-back-to-back.
For the third time in as many years, the Martin Methodist Clay Target team has claimed the national championship at the Scholastic Clay Target Program national tournament. The RedHawks won their third title last weekend at the 2018 Scholastic Clay Target Program College National Championships at the Cardinal Center Shooting Complex in Marengo, Ohio Oct. 26-27.
The RedHawks won the High Overall Team Championship with 2,876 targets out of 3,000 attempts. The RedHawks finished three shots better than Lindenwood University for their third title in the last three seasons. This year's result was an improvement upon the last two titles, which saw the RedHawks connect on 2,857 targets in 2016 and 2,853 targets last fall.
