Warriors’ Klay Thompson not worried about three-point shooting slump

0 0

Warriors guard Klay Thompson might not be a math whiz, but he is well-schooled on the law of averages. His three-point shooting percentage is sure to spike as the season wears on.

"I’m not really worried about my three-point shooting," said Thompson, who has been cleared to play Wednesday’s game against the Wizards after he mildly sprained his left ankle Monday against Phoenix. "My career numbers speak for themselves, so I just have to have fun out there."

His reasoning is sound: Perhaps the best long-rang marksman in NBA history not named Stephen Curry, Thompson is seldom mired in a three-point-shooting slump for long. That he is just 3-for-22 (13.6 percent) from deep through Golden State’s first four games is hardly cause for concern.
