[Men's Golf] Men's Golf Competes at Roger Merb Inivitational
The Brescia University Men's Golf Team placed 5th in the 12 team field at the Shawnee State Park on Oct 12-13th. The Bearcats shot a respectable 311/299 despite missing top player Steven Zehr with a back injury. Chance England led the Bearcats with a solid 8th place finish shooting scores of 73/74 in the cool and rainy conditions. Trevor Brown continued his consistent form shooting scores of 75/73 for a tie for 9th place. Daniel Steele played much better than his score reflected with a couple of tough breaks (including losing a ball in the top of a tree) shot scores of 79/73 to finish in a tie for 18th place. Rounding out the Bearcat line up with scores of 84/79 were Ryan Howard and Kolton Myatt 84/84. Coach Cox says " The guys are hitting the ball better than the scores actually reflect. With a bit more practice on and around the greens, we should start to see more scores at or under par. We have just over two weeks till our Conference Preview event and with solid practice along with getting healthy the Bearcats should be ready to go."
