No. 8 UCLA women beat No. 3 Baylor 82-68
No. 8 UCLA extended its home winning streak to 32 games, defeating third-ranked Baylor 82-68 on Saturday for the Bruins’ first win over the Lady Bears since 1996.
Its the second-longest active stretch in the country behind top-ranked UConn, which visits Pauley Pavilion Tuesday.
The Bruins (3-0) held Baylor to 40 percent shooting. Baylor had entered the game shooting 60 percent, best in the nation.
“We were excited, but we expected to win,” Bruins coach Cori Close said.
Kalani Brown scored 33 for Baylor (3-1), and Dekeiya Cohen had 14 rebounds.
