I was hoping for a performance tonight and 57% possession would suggest that we should have had one ,,,,, however too much tippy tappy football meant once again shooting opportunities were spurned. If Ayling or Phillips or Hernandez had tried a shot like Hoilett did we could have been out of sight . The team has not turned to rubbish overnight and the fallacy that when Pontus plays we keep a clean sheet has gone. We were lightweight all over the pitch and sorely missed O'Kane's nous in midfield. Too many players falling down looking for free kicks when under pressure, not enough shots, is just a bad day at the office.
PS Wiedwald possibly at fault for the hoilett goal but not the others. The constant criticism of the keeper is along the lines of the shellacking Wood got in his first season. Clean sheet for 600 minutes with the ' ineffectual' Cooper infront of him c;mon guys.
Did lonergan not concede two against Burnley (Cooper didn't play) , did anyone see Green's performance in the Cup , he was like a fish out of water trying to play the way TC wants . We are all Leeds fans and desperate for success but no team goes unbeaten in this league and it is how they react in the next game that counts. Onwards and upwards
