NBA Free Agency Rumors: Lakers spoke with Andre Iguodala

0

Los Angeles is working the phones to start free agency.

The Los Angeles Lakers spoke with Andre Iguodala on the first night of free agency, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Golden State Warriors free agent forward averaged 7.6 points on 52.8 percent shooting during the most recent campaign while providing his typical swiss army knife combination of passing, cutting and defense for the NBA champions.

Iguodala was formerly represented by Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka during his days as a player agent, and played under head coach Luke Walton while the Lakers coach was an assistant in Golden State.

However, signing in Iguodala might be a long shot for the Lakers if they want to preserve their “sacred” 2018 cap space, but it’s possible they could offer him a gargantuan one-year deal to sway him from the defending champions.
