[Men's Basketball] AQ Shoots Well, Holds Off Siena Heights 69-65
The Aquinas men's basketball used 49 percent shooting from the floor and 7-of-13 from downtown to withstand a late Siena Heights run, topping the visiting Saints on Wednesday night (Jan. 3) in Grand Rapids, 69-65. AQ led by 15 points in the second half, but SHU cut that deficit down to a single point with less than two minutes remaining. TJ Hunter (JR/Flint, Michigan) and Beau LePage (SO/Durand, Michigan) each knocked down a pair of free throws in the final 26 seconds to seal the victory.
