No. 20 Cal women endure lopsided loss to No. 11 UCLA
The Cal women’s basketball team picked an inopportune time to play its worst game of the season. Competing for national attention with only one other top-20 showcase game Sunday, the No. 20 Bears laid an absolute stinker in an 82-46 to 11th-ranked UCLA at Haas Pavilion. Cal (10-3, 1-1 Pac-12) put up a season-low point total on a season-worst 28.6 percent shooting, including missing its final 11 three-point attempts, and committed 24 turnovers to a season-low nine assists in having its seven-game winning streak snapped.
