[Men's Basketball] Cal Pac Play Opens with Three Close Games

Embry-Riddle, UC Merced, and Antelope Valley each recorded wins in California Pacific Conference openers last week.  The Eagles nipped visiting Benedictine-Mesa with clutch free throw shooting, the Bobcats streaked past the Cal Maritime to rally for the win at home, and the Pioneers held off La Sierra.  In the only other action last week, Simpson fell to No. 22 Oregon Tech in a non-conference rematch in Redding, Calif.
