Reciprocal Clubs Update

0 30

Members should note that the National Yacht Club has formalised a reciprocal rights agreement with the Yacht Club of Greece https://ycg.gr/en/home-en/. This new arrangement follows a recent meeting and burgee exchange with Stratis Andreadis of YCG Committee and deepens the strong ties between our clubs, allowing members to enjoy access to each club’s facilities, participate in sporting and social events, and purchase distinctive club insignia. The reciprocal agreement was signed on 29th April 2025 and guarantees a warm welcome and unhindered access to key amenities for both clubs’ members, in accordance with usual house rules and conditions. Thanks are due to member Stratos Boumpoukis and honorary member Hal Sisk for the initial introduction earlier this year.

Discussions are also underway with Istanbul Sailing Club https://www.istanbulyelken.org.tr/iletisim/, following a productive meeting with Pınar Coşkuner Genç during the World Sailing Conference hosted last week in Dun Laoghaire. Both clubs look forward to future collaboration and the establishment of reciprocal rights.

The full list of reciprocal Clubs with which we have arrangements can be found on the website https://nyc.ie/nyc-reciprocal-clubs/

Further updates will be provided as these international links develop.

In the meantime members travelling to Greece or Istanbul are encouraged to make contact via the respective club websites and ensure they have their NYC membership card to avail of these reciprocal arrangements.
