Mervue Optimist October League Report
We are delighted to welcome Mervue, Nutritional Pet & Equine Health Products (Mervue.ie) as the proud sponsor of the Optimist October League, marking a fantastic finish to the RCYC Optimist racing season. Over the past four weeks, more than 25 boats took to the water, showcasing skill, determination, and sportsmanship across a series of 12 races, with sailors allowed three discards.
The league delivered a true test of sailing ability, with a mix of weather conditions challenging competitors to adapt and excel. From light breezes to gusty spells, every race brought its own tactical demands, and the sailors rose to the occasion with enthusiasm and grit.
