Shannon Cruise 2025
On the weekend of the 16th of October five skippers from our club chartered river cruisers in Banagher Co Offaly and cruised down the river shannon to Lough Derg.
We went through Victoria Lock and down to the swing bridge in Portumna arriving at Terryglass for the evening. The following day was bright and dry, so we travelled the length of the lake to Mountshannon and back to Garrykennedy for a crew dinner that evening in Larkins Pub.
As the weather was forecasted to close in, we decided to travel back to Banagher that day and spend the last night there.
The whole trip was very enjoyable and relaxing. Calling to some lovely Irish villages, in four counties along the way. The company was great and the laughter loud.
Keep an eye out for this event in the autumn of next year and do not miss the adventure of the River Shannon.
