Hanna Ljungqvist Returns to Lead Volvo Penta Marine

Volvo Penta has announced that Hanna Ljungqvist will take over as Head of the company’s Marine Business on October 1, 2025. The appointment also places her on the Volvo Penta Executive Group, signaling a significant return to the marine industry for Ljungqvist after holding leadership roles in other divisions of the Volvo Group.

Ljungqvist is no stranger to boaters. Over her earlier decade-long tenure at Volvo Penta, she held senior roles in product and business development, marine service, and global parts support. Most recently, she led Volvo Trucks operations in India and Indonesia before returning to marine.

“I am very happy to be returning to Volvo Penta,” Ljungqvist said. “Marine technology, along with our customers’ expectations, is evolving faster than ever – and so will we.” She noted that Volvo Penta remains committed to innovation, sustainability, and strong collaboration with boatbuilders and owners.
