A disabled sailor has fallen out of their boat! What do we do?
The San Francisco Fire Department will conduct a water rescue drill for a Sailor Overboard on September 7th at 10:00. We’ll be meeting at Pier 40. The drill will also cover what to do after calling 911 and while waiting for help to arrive.
After the rescue, there will be a lively Q & A session discussing how to take care of the sailor once they are back on board. Note that BAADS will provide a ‘volunteer’ who will go into the water for the drill 
Most of us will watch the drill from the pier, but for those of us who want to observe the rescue up close and personal we plan to have a keelboat available. Lunch will be provided after the drill, followed by a cleanup and maintenance session for the BAADS fleet.
