Women in Sailing and the Marine Industry
From the triumphs of Marie Tabarly and the crew of Maiden back in April, to Ellie Aldridge’s gold medal performance in Marseille, it’s been a stellar year for women in sailing. But it’s not only the stand out stars and World Champions in the spotlight. This year, Southampton Boat Show is hosting a day-long celebration of women in sailing and the marine world, highlighting the significant contribution of women to the industry, and providing a platform for inspiration and networking.

Panel Discussion and Networking Session
This year’s Southampton Boat Show Women in Marine Day also brings with it the return of the panel discussion and networking session. This sit down with leading women in the industry is expected to provide insights into the industry trends and innovations, and inspire and empower the next generation. The panel will dive straight into the key issues in gender diversity in the marine world, highlighting successful case studies of women succeeding and female leadership. It will showcase the importance of gender diversity in driving innovation and better decision-making, and explore how we can support women in their professional growth.
The panel will be followed by a networking reception with top professionals and emerging talent in the marine sector.
