Free Sailing at BSSC

For the time being there will be no Racing at BSSC, but Free Sailing will be permitted as long we have access to the hard.  During this period there will be no BSSC rescue cover, and it is very important that we do not have to call on outside agencies such as the RNLI and Coastguard for assistance.

• · Ensure That you take precautions for your own safety. For dinghy sailing please stay within the harbourand do not go beyond the Brancaster Buoy. Sea Mark is currently not in place.    
• · Consider your own abiility and do not sail if the wind strength is above 15 knots.       
• · Consider using a mast head float, it might save your life.     
• · Check all equipmnet and fittings on your boat are in good condition and fit for purpose.     
• · Carry an anchor if possible and a long tow line.      
• · Observe social distancing at all times, wether rigging, launching or sailing.      
• · Do not rely on local fishermen to rescue you.     
• · Respect the rights and access of other harbour users.
