Cruising With a Squib ‘Vindex’ in 1970

Past President of the Club, Bob Cole, led a full and active life, despite horrendous injuries in the War and hugely reduced mobility. He had one of the very first Squibs built, Vindex, Number 27 (they started at 11). He was a huge sports fan and went to nearly every Olympic Games and many Commonwealth Games over his lifetime, and during the 1970 Commonwealth Games in Scotland he decided to do a ‘trading voyage’ and cruise some of Scotland’s waterways… in his squib!Here is his log; a great read of adventures afloat (and getting there) and for those of you who remember Uncle Bob a great reminder of him and his character.
