420 Munster championships 2026

Daniel Copithorne and Matt Mapplebeck of Royal Cork yacht Club won the 420 Southerns 2026 after strong winds forced the cancellation of Sunday racing in Cork Harbour.

Sailing at RCYC, the pair secured overall victory on countback following four races completed on Saturday.

The championships kicked off the 2026 summer sailing season at Crosshaven in brisk conditions.
