Newbie Observation
’ve logged about 12–15 hours on my classic Laser, mostly in 6–10 MPH winds. On my lake, “10 MPH” really means gusty chaos that changes direction whenever it feels like it.
Tell me there’s a worse feeling than being on a close reach, hiking out like a pro, and then, BAM—the wind just ghosts you. Feels like getting punched in the gut.
Had some solid 12 MPH wind the other day… just as I got comfortable, the wind shifted and I had to steer upwind. Instant balloon-deflation vibes...
