Proactive Mast Step Fixes, if any?
Hi folks,
First time posting here.
I may be paranoid after the hull on my Hobie 16 delaminated around the sidestay a couple of weeks ago, but now I'm sailing my old Laser more and am worried about the dreaded mast step failure.
It definitely has a crack on the side (I pour water in the tube and watch it drain down to a few inches from the bottom). The other day in some wild wind I heard some creaking down there.
