Reef Points on Catalina 16.5

I’ve owned a Catalina 16.5 for about 6 months and am about to send the mainsail to a local sail maker to have a single set of reef points added. I realize it’s more typical to add 2 sets but at age 76 I don’t plan to go out with any threat of raging winds. But do want to be able to significantly reduce sail and the chance of capsizing when wind picks up significantly. I sail single handed mostly using a tiller tamer and have a small outboard.
