Course you were poor on Monday and injuries will have played a part in that, but the main reason you lost is because you were beaten by a better side on the day is it that hard to accept, as for the smugness not sure where that's come from and the business regarding the future of our club my advice is if you don't know the in's and out's then don't speculate as your ignorance will only make you look even more sillier.
