Squad Update | Munster Prepare For Exeter At Sandy Park
The Munster squad are preparing at the HPC ahead of Saturday’s Challenge Cup Round of 16 clash against Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park (12.30pm, live on Premier Sports).
Munster team and management arrived back to Shannon Airport on Monday afternoon after the two-week URC tour to South Africa.
After a down day for the travelling squad yesterday, the full group began preparations today (Wednesday) for Saturday’s knock-out clash in Devon.
On the injury front following Saturday’s loss to Bulls in Pretoria, Diarmuid Barron, Calvin Nash and Brian Gleeson failed their respective HIA’s and are following the return-to-play protocols.
On the club front, there have been 279 club appearances for senior and Academy players so far this season.
12 Munster senior and Academy players played with their clubs in the Energia AIL at the weekend.
Fionn Gibbons and Jake O’Riordan were among the tries for Young Munster as they won away at St Mary’s with Andrew Smith also featuring.
Mark Donnelly, Danny Sheahan, Michael Foy and Dylan Hicks all lined out for Cork Constitution in their defeat away to Terenure College.
George Hadden helped Garryowen to a big home win over Queen’s University.
Conor Kennelly featured for Highfield in their home defeat to Blackrock College.
Gene O’Leary Kareem was in action for UCC in their narrow loss away to Instonians.
Oisín Minogue was among the tries for Shannon as they beat MU Barnhall with Emmet Calvey also in action.
