This was played in terrible conditions earlier in the season, and a 24-24 draw was a fair reflection.

Home support was hoping that the longest away trip of the season for Kendal would give Driffield the upper hand – they would be keen to get a final victory at Kelleythorpe for the season.

In the event, with a strong wind blowing down the pitch, it was a close-run affair – a game of two halves.

• 15:57 : From 25 out, Girking dances around the defence to score left of sticks.  Conversion missed D 20 K 7
• 16:02 : Sowersby yellow
• 16:02 : Kendal rumble over from 5 out left.  Conversion missed D 20 K 12
• 16:23 : From a retreating scrum on the Driffield 22, Kendal manage to get the ball out and go in for the try, converted. D 20 K 19
• 16:38 : Full time. Won 20 to 19
