Success for Touch at the Liam Carroll Cup 2026
A strong weekend for Old Wesley Touch at the Liam Carroll Cup 2026.
Old Wesley were proudly represented by three teams across both divisions at this year’s Liam Carroll Cup, with another excellent showing against top‑class opposition from across the country. After a long day of competitive, high‑quality touch rugby, Wesley came away with two pieces of silverware and multiple individual honours — a real testament to the depth, consistency and culture within the section.
Results:
• Division 1 – Wyverns: 2nd Place
• Division 2 – Dragons: 2nd Place
• Division 1 – Roosters: 3rd Place
Individual performances were also recognised, with Cara Summerbell named Division 1 Female MVP and Donnacha Fox awarded Division 1 Male MVP — outstanding achievements in a highly competitive field.
Across the weekend there were great matches, huge effort from every squad, and strong support on and off the pitch. Bringing home silverware once again reflects not just results on the day, but the ongoing commitment, standards and togetherness that define Old Wesley Touch.
Well done to all players, coaches, organisers and supporters — another proud chapter for the section and the club.
