Big weekend ahead for Old Wesley Touch at the Liam Carroll Cup 2026
This Sunday, three Old Wesley teams head to the Sport Ireland Campus to take on the best touch rugby clubs in the country in one of the flagship events on the Irish touch calendar. After an outstanding 2025 campaign — where Old Wesley came away with gold and silver silverware — the question is simple: can we do it again?
Last year’s Liam Carroll Cup was a landmark moment for Old Wesley Touch. Our Wyverns claimed the Division 1 title after an unbeaten round‑robin and a hard‑fought final, while the Roosters battled their way to the Division 2 final to secure silverware and underline the depth and strength of the section across multiple teams and divisions. It was a day that showcased everything Old Wesley Touch stands for — competitiveness, community, and a relentless commitment to playing the game the right way.
This weekend, the Dragons, Wyverns and Roosters return with the same ambition, energy and pride, ready to represent the club once again on a national stage. One tournament. Two divisions. Three Old Wesley teams.
