Team News | Munster A Side To Face Ulster On Friday
The Munster A side has been named for Friday’s Interprovincial Series clash against Ulster A at Nenagh Ormond (3pm, live on Access Munster).
All three of Munster A’s home games in the Interprovincial Series are live-streamed on Access Munster, subscribe for just €4 per month here. Entry to New Ormond Park is €10.
Friday’s game is Munster A’s third game of the competition after 26-26 and 33-33 daws with Leinster A in the first half of the season.
Evan O’Connell captains the side with 12 Academy and 11 senior players included in the 25-man squad.
Ben O’Connor, Andrew Smith and Shay McCarthy start in the back three with Seán O’Brien and Fionn Gibbons in midfield.
Jake O’Riordan and Tony Butler are named in the half-backs.
Mark Donnelly, Max Clein and Ronan Foxe pack down in the front row with O’Connell and Conor Ryan in the engine room.
A back row of Michael Foy, John Hodnett and Ruadhán Quinn completes the side. Hodnett, who recently signed a new contract, makes his first appearance since sustaining a thumb injury against Ulster on January 2.
Danny Sheahan, George Hadden and Kieran Ryan provide the front row back-up with Conor Kennelly, Seán Edogbo and Garryowen’s Rory Woods completing the forward cover.
Paddy Patterson, Dylan Hicks, Eoghan Smyth and Gene O’Leary Kareem are the backline replacements.
