Logan Jones signs for Ponty RFC

0 3

Pontypridd RFC are very pleased to announce the signing of Logan Jones from Treorchy RFC. The 18-year-old outside half has joined the club on a permanent basis following an impressive debut in our last match against Llangennech.

As has been eluded to, Logan made his Ponty debut two Saturdays ago against Llangennech whilst on permit from Treorchy, and an excellent all-round performance which also saw him bag a penalty-goal earned him the Golden Bob Man of the Match award.

A product of Treorchy RFC, Logan has played all of his club rugby for the Zebras working his way through their mini and junior ranks up to senior level. Outside of club rugby, Logan has played for Rhondda Schools in the Dewar Shield, for Coleg y Cymoedd whilst studying there, and has represented Cardiff Rugby U16s, Ospreys U18s at Age Grade level as well as the Boys Club of Wales U18s. He’s also currently playing for Swansea University whilst studying down west and we are excited to now have him fully onboard at Sardis Road.

On joining Pontypridd, Logan said: “I grew up watching Ponty on the terrace with my father, so to now to play for the club is a surreal experience.”

Pontypridd Backs Coach Gavin Dacey commented: “We are thrilled to have Logan Jones joining us for the remainder of the season at Pontypridd RFC, logan is another quality player off the Treorchy RFC production line and his man of the match performance on his debut showed how valuable he will be to the squad moving forward.”

Croeso Logan!
