Press Pass | Munster v Gloucester

Hear from centre Alex Nankivell and Attack Coach Mike Prendergast ahead of Munster’s round 2 Investec Champions Cup fixture this weekend.

They face Gloucester at SuperValu Páirc Ui Chaoimh.

Nankivell on playing this weekend in Cork on Saturday:

“It will be so cool, the lads love going down to Cork and there is a big Munster contingent from there. I have been fortunate enough to play there once and it was an amazing experience. It will be awesome. After the weekend we felt like we let the Munster supporters down and we are going to try and do them proud by putting in a really strong performance. There is a good feeling around the place, and we are looking forward to it.”

Prendergast on the mood ahead of the fixture:

“There was disappointment from the result, we are a very proud club, and we felt we weren’t where we needed to be. Like any game there is a next week, and this time it is a bit different. We have higher stakes this time than previous outings at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, we know we need to be better than we were last weekend. A huge amount to look forward to. We had an old school training today, and we are looking forward to Saturday.”
