Thank You Martyn Morgan
Pontypridd RFC would like to express its thanks and appreciation to Martyn Morgan, who has recently concluded his time serving on the Club Committee.
Martyn has been a key part of the club’s leadership team for the past 16 years, bringing commitment and a genuine passion for Ponty RFC. He became a Club Director in 2009, and after retiring from fulltime employment in 2011 Martyn became a full-time volunteer taking on all sorts of duties including general maintenance, managing the club’s International ticket allocations for many years along with some other financial responsibilities under the club’s then Financial Director. Martyn became fully responsible for Pontypridd RFC’s finances as we, as a society started ‘coming out of Covid’ in 2021.
Commending Martyn’s acumen, Honorary Club Secretary Steve Reardon said: “Martyn provided a long and dedicated voluntary service to Club and Company. His expertise and experience in banking and finance proved to be invaluable, in managing the financial resources available, with significant effect.”
Following in the footsteps of his father, Martyn played a few games for Ponty many years ago, and has been an integral part of the Ponty RFC Former Players Association whilst being part of the club’s senior club committee in recent years. He will continue in his FPA role – the FPA provide welcome financial support to the Club.
Pontypridd RFC would like to wish Martyn all the very best for the future whilst again expressing our sincere gratitude for his fantastic service and commitment to the club and its members.
See you on the terrace, Martyn
