This week, our Mini-to-Mortimer initiative was back in action at Mortimer Park, continuing to strengthen the connection between our Senior Rugby squads and our Mini and Junior Sections.
The Mini-to-Mortimer programme, created by Director of Rugby, Rob Lewis, is designed to build a clear pathway for young players as they progress through the club. The initiative focuses on developing strong links both on and off the field, helping our Minis and Juniors learn directly from senior players/coaches while fostering a shared club culture built on mentorship, teamwork, and pride in wearing the Luctonians badge.
This week, our Junior players were invited to attend a one-hour coaching session, where senior players and coaching staff delivered a series of position-specific and scenario-based activities. The sessions aimed to improve technical skills, deepen game understanding, and most importantly, make rugby fun and engaging for everyone involved.
It was fantastic to see the energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork across all age groups, with our senior players once again setting a brilliant example for the next generation.
A huge thank you goes to all the Senior players and coaches who took part and helped inspire our next generation of Luctonians.
