Wee Reds P4s at North Berwick Minis Festival
Sunday 07 September 2025
Report by Paul Millar
On Sunday, our Linlithgow P4s made the trip to the North Berwick Minis Festival and what a day it was! This was their very first time playing contact rugby, and every single one of them stepped up with huge effort and big smiles.
The team came away with 1 win, 2 hard-fought draws and 1 narrow loss – but the results tell only part of the story. The kids ran their socks off, put in some crunching tackles, scored some brilliant tries, and most importantly, showed great spirit in every game.
It was clear to see the progress from just 4 weeks of training, with parents on the touchline treated to plenty of exciting rugby and no shortage of determination. After all the effort, the players were rewarded with some well-deserved sweeties from the coaches – a sweet ending to a great day!
The coaches couldn’t be prouder of how the squad played outside their comfort zones and embraced the challenge. A huge thanks goes to the parents for their support and encouragement, and of course to the players for their energy and commitment.
The whole coaching team is loving seeing this group develop – and Sunday was another big step forward. Well done Linlithgow P4s!
