Pontypridd v St Albans – Match Preview

On Saturday 30th August Pontypridd RFC conclude their pre-season schedule when we welcome St Albans RFC to Sardis Road. The match kicks off at the earlier than usual time of 1:30pm. Following the senior match the two clubs’ Youth sides lock horns as well, kick-off time for Ponty Youth and St Albans Youth is 3:30pm.

Ponty and The Buns met in pre-season last year on Saturday 31st August and it was Ponty who claimed a 52-20 win twelve months ago. The Valley Commandos head into tomorrow’s match having won away at Tenby United last Saturday whilst St Albans lost at home against Cardiff a fortnight ago. Tomorrow’s contest will be the last chance for the Ponty coaching and management team to run their eye over the playing squad ahead of the competitive season.

SUPPORTER INFORMATION:

Tickets – This Saturday’s admission prices will be £5 each for adults, £3 for concessions and under 16’s free if accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets can be purchased on the day and supporters will be able to pay via cash or card.

Ground opening – The stadium and Sardis Road clubhouse will be open from 11:30am onwards, and at 12:30pm we will be showing live coverage of Chelsea v Fulham in the Premier League on our screens.

Pontypridd Youth – As has been mentioned, Pontypridd Youth will be playing their St Albans counterparts following the senior match, the youth kicks off at 3:30pm
