0 6

IT’S a trophy with a history almost as old as Queen’s Park.

And rugby fans will be very welcome to join Scotland’s oldest club – formed in 1867 – for this year’s 1872 Cup clash at Hampden on December 20.

Tickets for pre-match entry to Bar 1867 in the JB McAlpine Pavilion at The city Stadium, which is just 15-yards from the turnstiles at the ground, have been released.

Bar 1867 will open at 12.30pm, ahead of the 3pm start, with tickets costing only £10 and they include hot food on arrival and a free pre-match drink.

The bar – a pre and post-match venue for fans of Queen’s Park supporters and opposing clubs around the William Hill Championship – boasts a wide selection of drinks including Tennent’s Lager, Guinness, Magners and Menabrea on tap.

Welcome drinks include a pint of Tennent’s lager, bottles of Budweiser or Peroni, glass of house wine, a measure of house spirits, or a soft drink.

Tickets are available by calling the club on 0141 632 1275, emailing hospitality@queensparkfc.co.uk or popping into Queen’s Park’s offices at The city Stadium on Letherby Drive.
