Charlie Hancock signs for Pontypridd

Pontypridd RFC are very pleased to announce the signing of Charlie Hancock from Cardiff Met RFC. The 21-year-old flyhalf has joined Ponty for the club’s 2025/26 campaign.

The Bridgend Athletic product represented his hometown club all the way through their age grade sides, into their Youth team playing in the Welsh Youth Cup Final before joining Cardiff Met.

Charlie’s representative rugby has come for the Welsh Academicals and the Boys Club of Wales U18s. He has now made the move to Sardis Road ahead of the new season.

On joining Pontypridd, Charlie said: “I’m really proud to have signed for such a great club like Pontypridd RFC. Pre season has been very good so far and I’m looking forward to playing in front of the loyal fan base at Sardis Road and seeing what the season brings.”

Pontypridd Team Manager Stuart Rix commented: “Charlie is an exciting young outside half that has gained experience playing BUCS rugby. We are very pleased to have him join up with the squad and look forward to him challenging for the number 10 shirt.”
