The day of the Reds U18s

0 15

Not one game, not two games, but 3 games featured Reds U18 players on Saturday! Lewis McGill not only started in the Reds National League division 4 match against Greenock Wanderers, but was also named man-of-the-match by the sponsors in the Reds 40-29 home win.

At the same time, three Reds U18 players were featuring strongly in the Reds 2s big 42-5 win over Boroughmuir at Meggetland. Cameron McHardy, Alfie Muir and Calum Hall were all in the starting line-up. It was a McHardy family day (see photo at top), as Cameron started alongside his older brother Alex

It was also Alfie Muir’s 18th birthday, which he marked with a try as the Reds 2s cemented a third placed finish in the Arnold Clark East Region Reserve League division 1, finishing behind Heriots 2As and Stewart’s Melville 2s.

Earlier in the day, the remaining Reds U18 players travelled through to Dunbar with a combined U18 / U16 team to play their full U18 team. Well done to Reds U16 players Greg, Alex, Calum and Finlay for stepping up!
