The Wee Reds P6 team had character-building afternoon away at the Stewarts Melville festival. They faced some very tough opposition over the course of 5 games and although they didn’t manage to come away with any wins, there was excellent resilience from the players and the performances improved game-by-game.
A particular highlight was a moment of heroic defence where the ball was over the line but the opposition player was held up in a choke tackle, both teams battling to sway momentum before the Linlithgow lads gained the upper hand and drove the attack back.
There was plenty for the P6s to learn by playing against some quality (and big, and fast) teams. Despite the challenging circumstances, it was great to see the heads didn’t drop and the day ended with smiles all round.
