2024 – 2025 Captains’ Announced

1st XV Captain – Ben Link

Luctonians are delighted to announce that Ben Link has been selected as this season’s 1st XV Captain. Ben joins our prestigious lineup of players who have worn the 1st XV Captain’s armband and will be taking over from Joe White. Joe remains in the squad and will continue to be a integral part of our playing squad this season.

Ben who is Luctonians Top Try Scorer for the 2023 – 2024 and 2022 – 2023 seasons, has 80 National League appearances under this belt.

Ben said ‘I am honoured to have been selected as this season’s 1st XV Captain, and look forward to the season starting. We have a strong squad and are ready.’

2nd XV Captain – Brad Smith

We are delighted to announce that for the 2024 – 2025 season, Brad Smith has been selected as our 2nd XV Captain.

Brad has been in our senior set-up for a long time with this being his 10th season at the club.

When asked about his captaincy he said ‘It’s great to be selected as captain for the 2nd XV. Promotion is finally in our hands! We have an exciting squad and I’m keen to push the boys on and get the promotion over the line!’

3rd XV Captain – David Jennings

We are happy to announce that David Jennings has been selected as our 3rd XV Captain for the 2024 – 2025 season.

David will lead the boys through their league fixtures as they compete in Counties 2 Midlands West (West). The boys have some exciting games against local teams such as Bromyard, Clee Hill, and Tenbury.

Dave said ‘I’m looking forward to captaining the side again this year, with new talent coming through Colts and regular people at training, I look forward to seeing the squad in action.’

Vixens Captain – Jade Perks

Luctonians Vixens are delighted to announce that Jade Perks has been selected as this season’s Captain.

This will be Jade’s second season as Captain having led the Vixens through their first league season in 2023 – 2024.

‘This is my second season as Captain, and it’s amazing to have the backing of the team again’ Said Perks ‘We have had an amazing preseason with recruitment. The team is looking strong and ready to hit the league. I am extremely excited to see where this season takes the Vixens.’
