Women’s Rugby Conference on Sunday 8th September

0 4

The IRFU is delighted to host the first ever Women’s Rugby Conference on Sunday 8th September at
Killashee Hotel, Naas, Co. Kildare. The conference will bring together a range of speakers across the game to examine the 30-year journey
taken by some trailblazing women to get us to where we are today and most importantly to outline how
we can all contribute to the next phase of development of women’s rugby in Ireland, as a key pillar
outlined in the 2024 Rugby in Ireland Strategy.

This event is open to ALL involved in the women’s game, at any levels – coaches, managers, referees and
other support personnel, and all club administrators interested in developing the right environment to
accelerate the female game. The conference will be opened by Chief Executive, Kevin Potts and will see a
host of other speakers share insights across panel discussions and workshops, including Irish
internationals Eve Higgins and Deirbhile Nic a Bháird and trailblazers Grainne O’Connell, Mary Quinn and
Nora Stapleton.
Please share the link below, with further information about the conference, with all club personnel
involved in the women’s game, so they can gain insights from experts, meet other practitioners across the
game and discuss research specific to coaching and working with female players. We want to celebrate,
recognise, and continue the work by reflecting on the history and development of women’s rugby to date,
and paving the way for the next 30-years of the game.
Tickets are available here,
