Martin Hession – deceased
The death has occurred of Martin Hession. Born in Co. Sligo, Martin joined Old Wesley after moving to Dublin. A formidable old school second row forward, he played for a number of years mainly at 2nds and 3rds level. He was a member of the of the 3rdB/J4 team that won the Winters Cup in 1976.
Anyone that knew Martin would immediately describe him as one of life’s character, and he was always good company. He moved to County Waterford over 30 years ago where he has lived ever since. This reduced the amount of time he could spend with friends in Old Wesley, but he was still an occasional visitor to Donnybrook up until a number of years ago.
We extend our sympathy to his wife Ida, children, grandchildren, and the rest of Martin’s family at this sad time.
