A few people said no to Hurrell but he had a great game for Sts.

Thought TJ was OK but bombed a try with hus kick. Should have taken Miller on. I think he'd have beaten him.

Max will get him way more chances if he comes back.

Yes, TJ should have backed himself and gone for the corner, but tbh I think the pass caught him by surprise and he didn't know what to do, seeing as the only other one he got thrown attacking Leeds ended up in the stand .
Tbf though the rest of his game was solid IMO. Taking the ball out of his own 20 was strong, he didn't miss a tackle and I think his overall defence has improved, positionally and his one-on-one stuff while he's been at Catalans, not that it was bad when he left us. As we saw, given room he's still got his gas to burn.

I know he scored quite a few for Catalans last season, but in the 5 games I've seen him play for them this year, he hadn't scored until today. As Trojan says above and you allude to, I don't think they use him enough or get the most out of him. It may be because they have other good players but still, when you have a guy like TJ on the field you want to set plays up around him and get the ball to him whenever possible when attacking. If this was the only game I'd seen him play it'd be unfair to say the above but as I said it's the 5th game I've watched him in. I was quite surprised that he'd scored 33 in 40-something games. As you say Max will set him up far more than he does at Catalans and I feel Powell as a coach will know how to use him better than McNamara uses his wingers.

Yeah, it became comical with Hurrell and Blake causing them bedlam down that right side in that 2nd half, but then again you and I could have last night.

They completely lost the plot in that second half. I know they had to completely re-jig a few places after injuries, but they played against 12 men most of the first half, then came out in the 2nd and looked like they were playing with 11 men. When it later turned into a 12 v 12 game, it got even uglier.
As someone else mentioned apart from them gassing from the Clogger school of conditioning, they generally didn't have a plan A in attack in the 1st half, or a plan B in the second.
