Our very first Ladies’ Day was fantastic!

Ladies’ Day – a first for the club, and what a triumph it was!

Last Saturday we hosted our First Ladies’ Day, what a success it was! This incredible event took place at Cheltenham Rugby Club to celebrate the amazing women of our club; our mums, who drive back and forth to make sure their kids can train and play, our volunteers who help manage teams, run water, provide medical support and coach, the partners of our men and women, players from our women’s section.

It was a day filled with joy, appreciation, and recognition for all their hard work and dedication.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Ian Underhill on the Saxophone.; the atmosphere was electric, with laughter and excitement filling the air. Throughout the day, there was live music, various raffles and plenty of amazing food.
The event also provided a platform for networking and building connections among our various sections. Mums representing our M+Js, partners of our senior players and volunteers from our community. Not to mention a large presence of our women’s section, past and present.

Overall, the event was a resounding success. It not only celebrated the invaluable contributions of these women but also served as a reminder of the importance of volunteering and community involvement. It was a day filled with empowerment, unity, and celebration.

It was truly a memorable experience that showcased the power and strength of our rugby community. Already thinking about next year!
