Force 'heart and soul' Pomare set to reach rare Super W milestone

Western Force captain Trilleen Pomare will make Club history on Saturday, reaching a quarter of a century of Buildcorp Super Rugby Womens appearances.
In a competition which is short in length five games plus finals in 2024 the milestone is worthy of recognition, which Force head coach Dylan Parsons was eager to do this week.
Pomare will bring up her 25th cap for the Force away to reigning back-to-back champions Fijian Drua.
The 30-year-old Wallaroos fly-half/inside-centre debuted in Round 1 of the 2018 Super W season, scoring a try as the Force triumphed 85-13 over the Melbourne Rebels at Harvey Field.
Pomare hasnt missed a Force game ever since, playing all 24 Super W matches in Club history.
Thats part of the reason why Parsons calls Pomare the heart and soul, alongside her leadership, experience and quality.
Pomare, who plays her club rugby for Kalamunda, was the co-winner of the 2023 Force Women Award.
The Auckland-born Rutherford College product has scored four tries over her seven years in Super W. Shes won plenty of admirers along the way too.
Thats led to 23 Wallaroos caps, playing at two World Cups, but shell tell you theres more for her to achieve, particularly in her home state as the side targets a maiden finals campaign.
The Force can clinch their first-ever Super W semi-finals spot with victory over the Drua on Saturday and thered be no better way to salute Pomares milestone than that.
