FAREWELL TO A LUCS LEGEND
Today (20th January) Luctonians will be saying Bon Voyage to one of the club’s greatest servants of recent past, as we say goodbye and good luck to 1st XV player Louis Silver.
Louis will be leaving the chilly climes of Mortimer Park to emigrate. Louis is by a long way the club’s leading points scorer at National League level with 928 to his name so far.
He will depart these shores having reached 147 National League appearances for Lucs, putting him fifth in that list. As well as holding the club record for most points in a single National League fixture, with his 31 from the tee in a crucial win over Birmingham Solihull at Portway in March 2015 helping the club stave off relegation that season.
An extremely laid-back character, Louis is one of the very best scrum halves outside of the top division for game management and control and his goal-kicking has been exemplary.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish Louis all the very best for his future endeavours and thank him for all of the fantastic performances he has given us over the years.
