Squad Update | Munster Prepare For Sharks

The Munster squad are continuing their preparations in Cape Town ahead of Saturday’s URC Round 18 clash against Sharks in King’s Park.

The team and management will travel to Durban on Wednesday ahead of the game. See what’s coming up this week at Munster Rugby here.

Back home, there were seven Greencore Munster Rugby Academy players in AIL action at the weekend.

Three players were in Munster derby action as Cork Constitution beat Young Munster. Conor Phillips scored two tries for the Cookies with Shay McCarthy (Young Munster) and Daniel Hurley (Cork Con) also featuring.

Ethan Coughlan was a try-scorer for Shannon with Daniel Okeke and Darragh McSweeney also in action as there were beaten by Terenure.

Tony Butler kicked two conversions as Garryowen lost to Dublin University.

On the injury front, RG Snyman will follow the return to play protocols this week and is unavailable for Saturday’s game.

Diarmuid Barron (neck) has settled well and will return to full team training.

Dave Kilcoyne will increase his training load and his availability will be determined later in the week.

Back at the HPC, John Hodnett has recovered from his calf strain and returned to training.
