Leigh Leopards • Rhinos Sunk. Thoughts?
First conclusion: it was bl**dy brassic out there. Nearly lost my toes.
Other than that, not sure either side can read much in to this one. Defence from both sides was cracking at times, and both showed some good touches with ball in hand. I thought we looked pretty good for a first friendly, but you could see we were knocking the rustiness off.
I was impressed with Charnley who looked stronger and fitter than last year. I didn't see much evidence of us petting set moves on, but don't know if that was intentional or not.
Also good to see our two big money signings get on the board too, with Leutele & Hardaker.
Kicking needs addressing though. Kick game overall was quite poor, and missed conversions could cost us come the season proper.
